Small Enough to Carry Everywhere. Made With Everything She Has.
The crossbody is the bag you reach for without thinking — the one that goes everywhere. This one was made by hand in Amman, Jordan, by a woman trained at one of the region's most important artisan empowerment programs. It carries lemons, leaves, and fifteen years of work behind it.
The Design
The Lemon Crossbody is made from natural cream linen canvas, hand-printed all over with the same bold lemon and leaf motif drawn from the folk-art block print tradition of the Levant — yellow citrus fruits with deep forest green leaves, printed with visible hand-pressure variation that gives each bag its own character.
The bag has a relaxed structured shape with a slightly curved base, finished with silver-tone hardware clasps and an adjustable cream canvas crossbody strap that sits comfortably across the shoulder or chest. At the top, the bag opens wide — the interior is lined with a black-and-white patterned cotton fabric, adding a considered detail visible only to the person carrying it.
A small printed hangtag documents the bag's origin. The silver hardware is clean and minimal — nothing competes with the print.
Across the Levant, the lemon tree is as much a symbol as it is a plant. It grows in every family garden. Its juice is in every dish. To carry lemons is to carry the scent of the region — bright, alive, and completely at home in the world.

The Hands That Made It
This bag was made by women trained and employed at the Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training (PTI) in Amman, Jordan — a pioneering organization that provides skills, employment, and independence to women from some of Jordan's most underserved communities, including orphaned young women transitioning out of institutional care and rural women from poverty-affected areas across the Kingdom.
PTI was launched under the direct instruction and sponsorship of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, making it the first program of its kind in the region. The women who work here are trained artisans and professionals. This bag is their craft, their income, and their independence.
When you buy from Gallerie Levant's PTI collection, 100% of the artisan margin goes directly back to PTI to fund training, housing, psychological support, and employment for the women in the program.
You are not donating. You are buying something well-made, from someone who made it well, and paying her for it.
Each bag is hand-printed and may vary slightly from the photos shown. This is a feature of the handcraft, not a defect.
