More Than a Bag. A Woman's Work, Her Story, Her Hands.
This tote was made by an artist in Jordan. Not in a factory, not by a machine — by a woman who was given a skill, a workspace, and a chance. Every lemon on this bag was hand-printed. The leather handles were attached by hand. When you carry this, you carry her work with you.
The Design
The Lemon Tote is made from natural cream linen canvas, hand-printed all over with a repeating pattern of bold yellow lemons and deep green leaves in the folk-art block print tradition of the Levant. The print is intentionally artisanal — slight variations in ink coverage and placement from one lemon to the next are the mark of a hand, not a flaw. No two bags print identically.
The bag is structured with a flat base and warm cognac leather handles with brass rivet reinforcement at each corner, giving it durability and an elevated finish. A small embossed leather brand tag sits at the top left — understated and intentional. The interior is clean cream canvas with generous capacity for daily essentials, a weekend market run, or a beach day.
The lemon motif is not arbitrary. Across the Levant — Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria — the lemon tree is a fixture of every family courtyard. Its fruit is in every kitchen. Its blossom scents every spring. To print lemons is to print home.

The Hands That Made It
This bag was made by women trained and employed at the Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training (PTI) in Amman, Jordan — a pioneering organization that provides skills, employment, and independence to women from some of Jordan's most underserved communities, including orphaned young women transitioning out of institutional care and rural women from poverty-affected areas across the Kingdom.
PTI was launched under the direct instruction and sponsorship of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, making it the first program of its kind in the region. The women who work here are not charity cases. They are trained artisans, entrepreneurs, and professionals — and this bag is their work.
When you buy from Gallerie Levant's PTI collection, 100% of the artisan margin goes directly back to PTI to fund training, housing, psychological support, and employment for the women in the program.
This is not cause marketing. This is simply what the product is: skilled work, made by skilled women, sold honestly.
Each bag is hand-printed and may vary slightly from the photos shown. This is a feature of the handcraft, not a defect.
